As was previously announced, last Saturday June 2nd, took place on Aldeia do Meco, at the Fiéis ao Tacho Restaurant, the dinner-party to celebrate OGAE Portugal's 10th anniversary.

There were between 50 and 60 fans there and three very special guests: Eládio Clímaco, the historical national commentator, Anabela (POR93) and Sabrina (POR07).

It all began a little after 9 pm with a dinner buffet, during which the three guests showed to always be available to talk to the fans. Everything happening while a Eurovision soudtrack was playing, of course.

Meanwhile, on the Restaurant's terrace, many ESC videos of the songs that made history were projected on to a large screen.

After dinner it was time to thank everyone that was there celebrating the 10 years of OGAE Portugal and for keeping the organization alive.

As one would expect, there was a special thank you to the guests for their unique contribute to the Festival RTP da Canção and also to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Then we all watched images of Eládio Clímaco presenting some editions of Festival RTP da Canção, making the commentary to ESC and also presenting the ESC, an unforgetable opportunity he had back in 1980 when he stepped on to the ESC stage to present the Portuguese entry.

Then there were images of Anabela on ESC 1993. We were reminded of her "postcard" when she was walking through the streets of Cork, then her Gaelic class and finding a bar called "The Old Lisbon". It all brought very found memories to Anabela. Of course we also watched her excelent perfomance, singing "A cidade (até ser dia)", accompanied by a choir of the almost 60 fans present at the reunion. Then there were the images of Portugal receiving 12 points from Spain and from the Netherlands, sweet memories from 1993.

Finally we watched Sabrina at the reception at the official residence of the Finnish Embassador in Lisbon, then her performance on ESC 2007 in Helsiniki and finally her appearance on Diz que é uma espécie de magazine, a national comedy show where she sang and was awarded 1st place at Eurovision. All greeted with a huge applause by everyone there.

OGAE Portugal invited the three guests to become honorary members of the organization, which they all glady accepted and received comemorative placks to remember that moment.

Sabrina then thanked again all the support from the fans throughout the preparation and during her week in Helsinki, and also for the strenght she felt duraing her performance and the love and care she still feels today from all the fans.

Anabela thanked the invitation to the party, thanked the support the fans still give her and her career nowadays, and praised OGAE for the work in promoting Portuguese music.

Being an anniversary, of course there was a huge birthday cake, and we all sang "Happy Birthday" lead by Anabela and Sabrina.

Afterwards, the party started with loads of music reminding us of Euroclub on its best nights, lots of Eurovision songs and Eurovision videos. There were copies of the lyrics of some songs so that everybody could sing along.

At the end, everybody agreed that it was a huge success, not only as an anniversary party but also for the 10 years supporting Portuguese music and the Portuguese artists on Eurovision.

You are all invited to the 20th anniversary in 2017!

O.G.A.E. Portugal Is 10 Years Old!!!
